# Compare cellar brands by their role

Compare cooling, cabinets, racking and design support without confusing product roles.

Start with the type of system you need. A rack manufacturer, cooling supplier and cabinet maker solve different problems. Ask the designer to separate these roles before asking for a brand recommendation.

## Cooling systems

WhisperKOOL lists self-contained, ductless split, fully ducted and ducted split systems in its construction guidance. Its online calculator asks about surfaces and adjacent conditions. Use those inputs to discuss the room with an installer.

CellarPro's website separates cooling families and provides buying guides, sizing tables and technical documents. Ask for the current document for the exact model. Have the installer check ambient operating limits, electrical supply, drainage, service access and local support. A brand name alone does not confirm the right application.

## Cabinets and racking

EuroCave describes wine cabinets for cellaring and serving, with different product ranges. A cabinet may suit a project where a complete refrigerated room is difficult. Check ventilation and access requirements before enclosing a cabinet in joinery.

VintageView supplies wine storage systems and offers design support. Racking determines bottle presentation and usable capacity. Confirm bottle shapes and mounting conditions. Racking is not the thermal enclosure or the cooling system.

## Full project coordination

Rosehill describes custom design, drawings, fabrication, installation and support. A coordinated offer can reduce handoff gaps, but its actual contract still controls what is included. Ask who signs off the enclosure and who answers a fault call.

This is a comparison of published roles, not a test ranking. Do not infer reliability, energy savings or dealer authorization from this guide. Ask each bidder to price the same scope and identify substitutions. Keep the approved product schedule with the drawings. If a model changes, review the load, clearances and warranty before accepting it.

## Questions

### Can I compare a rack brand directly with a cooling brand?

They serve different roles. Compare racking for bottle fit and mounting, cooling for the calculated heat load and service support, and cabinets for ventilation and access.
